Evangelizing Children -
How to lead a child to Christ and why.

Ray Collins, Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF)

If you were to ask people who have refused to become involved in a teaching ministry their reasons for refusing many will say their main reason is that they feel inadequate for the task.

Some will even say a child should not be evangelized
or cannot understand.
Even those who agree to take on the responsibility
(many times because of pressure or guilt)
are often frustrated with feelings of being incompetent.
The truth is good teachers do not just mysteriously appear-they must be trained, nurtured and developed. The secular world rarely puts someone in a position of leadership without first providing training.
Should we in Christian ministry do any less?

The Lord Jesus Christ devoted much of His earthly ministry to training others. He knew that if His disciples were to be adequate for the task before them, they would need to be trained-their skills and abilities developed. At times He worked with them one-on-one, other times as a group.

His training methods included instruction, demonstrations and hands-on involvement.
What kind of training do teachers need?
They need the basics-lesson preparation; how to lead a child to Christ; why should we lead a child to Christ;
discipline in the classroom, etc. They also need ongoing training and resources so they can continue to grow and develop as teachers
The resource of ideas in this training module on teaching missions, music, and memory work and review time will encourage and strengthen your teacher's creativity.

Each teacher will receive a Super Seminars I notebook to use as a tool to assist in supplying both the basic and ongoing training that teachers need. The sessions are designed for 50-minute class periods, but they can be adapted for longer or shorter teaching sessions. Sample schedules are included to help you plan a weekly or monthly training program, or to plan weekend seminars. Used in a weekly format, our notebook provides enough material for a year of training.

Super Seminars II provides enough new material for a second year.

Each of the twenty-six Super Seminar sessions include abundant helps to make your job
as a teacher easier-
(1) instructor notes for your own study and preparation
(2) student notes to photocopy and distribute
(3) transparency masters to develop into transparencies for use with the overhead projector or
enlarged into flashcards
(4) a list of additional resources available
All of this material coupled with your imagination, experience, personal testimonies and examples will give you the means for providing a
thorough training for your teachers.

Don't let potential teachers slip away or current teachers burn-out in frustration!
Give them the tools they need for a successful teaching ministry.
Everything you need is right here in Super Seminars I & II!
